澎派 PONPIE’s Secret To Increasing Sales

1. Tell us more about your brand’s story and why you decided to start 澎派 PONPIE.

When I was little, my mother used to bake at home and I’d always help her. We enjoyed combining seasonal ingredients with exotic ones and create uniquely delicious and inviting desserts.

2. What’s the most interesting/unique part of 澎派 PONPIE’s journey thus far?

Desserts are something we usually share with others during a celebration. We often have customers who visit our store and takeaway different desserts back home to share with their friends or family. On some occasions, our customers even brought their friends to our shop and introduced their favourite dessert. Their conversation goes something like this, “Hey I’ve tried all the tarts here and I like their lemon tarts best!” I love how our desserts are getting known by others – the way our customers share about our products with their friends. This shows how much our customers enjoy and love our desserts.

3. Was online ordering always part of your business’s plan?

Yes. In fact, our business was first launched online. My wife and I made the desserts and sold them through an online channel. We recently opened this store to cater to customers who wish to dine in.

4. What was your biggest fear in going online?

When you buy clothes online, you’re able to see evaluate its features easily with pictures. However the soul of our desserts lies in its taste, which you wouldn’t be able to know until you actually take a bite. As such, we were worried that customers would be apprehensive about ordering our desserts online or that our desserts would not meet their expectations when they order. Also, we were unsure if our desserts could be delivered without suffering any physical damages.

5. How was your experience after using Oddle?

Oddle makes it easy when it comes to consolidating orders and establishing our brand online. Managing orders in the backend became hassle-free because of Oddle’s user-friendly interface. Also, we are able to showcase our desserts easily with Oddle’s attractive plug and play shopping cart and hence convince our customers to purchase.

Yes of course! The Oddle solution directly increased our revenue. With Oddle, we have a dedicated website that customers can easily order from. There’s a smooth communication process between us and our customers we can enjoy seamless order management. The Oddle shopping cart became like our website; it embodies our brand image. We would always tell our customers to visit our “website” rather than visit our “shopping cart”.

7. If there were 3 words to describe Oddle, what would it be?

Convenient, practical/useful, and pretty.

8. Is growth possible with Oddle?

Yes! Other than in-store customers, we can leave everything else to Oddle. We can now focus on making desserts, without having to worry about the process of managing orders. Also, with increasing usage of the Internet and the increasing business opportunities online, Oddle gave us a great platform to increase our revenue.

9. Is there anything else you want to share with us?

I think Oddle works side by side with us (merchants). They are always eager to resolve our problems, give us tips on marketing and provide monthly reports for us to review our performance. Oddle is really amiable and sincerely tries to help us realise our potential, rather than simply fixing system bugs.
